Royal Court Theatre – Wigan
RD-Engineering was commissioned to undertake a structural defect survey on a Grade II listed building, which was originally built in 1887.
Over the years, the theatre had fell into abandonment and severe disrepair, which led to significant structural issues making some areas extremely dangerous.
The detailed structural report highlighted all structural defects and provided repair specifications/strategies to enable the client to determine if restoring the premises was feasible and within their budget.
The building is now under substantial renovation to bring it back to life for the larger community to enjoy.
