New Ferric Dosing Treatment Facility – Wastewater Treatment Works
RD Engineering Associates Ltd were appointed as structural design consultants for a wastewater effluent enhancement project to reduce the amount of Phosphorus released into watercourses.
Currently, there is a strong focus on phosphorus removal from wastewater throughout the UK and ferric dosing treatment systems can achieve this reduction.
The new ferric dosing system project required the installation of 2 new 30000L chemical tanks along with ancillary units, new surface water drainage, Reinforced Concrete (R.C) hardstanding areas, site road modifications and a new delivery area for chemical tanker deliveries.
RD Engineering Associates undertook the civil & structural design for the above deliverables and overcome difficult on-site ground conditions and incorporated climate change site flood risks to provide a climate change design for the client delivered on time and within budget.
